T is for...........Trouble!

Last week I said I was planning a surprise and if you look back over my past post you will realise what the surprise was....and you will also note that I am unable to share any photos right now as my Google account needs re-subscribing!

I do not seem to be able to upload any pictures from picassa or indeed from my pictures file on my laptop!

I find this all rather tedious and if anybody has any suggestions/hints/remedies I am all ears!

So ABC Wednesday....no pictures! Terrible!

  1. Denise, what message are you getting? I find the red Xs puzzling because if you right click and check the properties the URL is very different from the good pix. Re-subscribing your Google account sounds odd as well. Gonna do a littel research into it.

  2. I've never heard of having to re-subscribe to google.

Blogger seemed to be playing up a bit earlier so I'd suspect the problems might not be at your end.

I wouldn't do anything drastic - suggest you clear your cookies, wait till tomorrow and try again.

  4. I've never heard of having to re-subscribe to google either, but I know how frustrating it can be to have problems! Hope it gets taken care of soon! And that is "Terrible"!

Thanks as always for the ABC fun!

  8. Oh no! So stressful! I had to pay $5 a year so I could upload unlimited pictures. It was worth it to me because I love blogging so much : )

  10. Picasa (that is Blogger) has a maximum limit of free space (I think it is 1 GB). After that you have to pay for more or start a new account.

One way around it is never upload pictures that are larger than you are going to use. Another is to use an external server and just upload the URL to Blogger.

  12. At the very least, you must be happy to see your ABC Baby out here thriving. Aren't you the wonderful person who started this all?????

  13. Sorry not to be able to help. I hope the problem will be solved quickly.

This week, I had problems with Irfanview, which had been my favorite image viewer for years. I had to uninstall it as it made all my photos black and white.

  16. Denise,

email me (you have the addy) and I'll take a look.

Alternatively, activate Windows Live Writer (WLW) on your computer and use that little gem. The pics get uploaded to a different server!

  21. I always use Photobucket to upload pictures to forums and websites. Can you use that for Blogger? You can get a free account, though I do find it useful to pay, personally, to get the site ad-free, if nothing else!
